Dr. Al-Owir is a board-certified physician in Critical Care medicine, Hospital medicine, and Internal medicine. He is the Chief of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Division in multiple valley hospitals including those in Henderson and Horizon Hospitals. He is also the head of Nevada Critical Care Consultants, the largest critical care group in Nevada. Nevada Critical Care Consultants employs several physicians and physician assistants and services multiple hospitals throughout Las Vegas.

Kayla Kanounji is a healthcare strategist and operational leader focused on driving efficiency, strengthening performance, and elevating the patient and provider experience. As Practice Manager for Nevada Critical Care Consultants—the largest ICU group in Nevada led by Dr. Bassam Al-Owir—she oversees multi-hospital operations, provider management and the administrative systems that support critical-care delivery.
As Chief Operating Officer of Prestige Health, she leads operations, partnerships and brand development for a first-of-its-kind concierge medical service designed for high-net-worth clients seeking private, immediate, elevated care.
